Welcome to the handmade items created by Debra Hunter.  Debra creates hand knit and naturally dyed items focusing mainly on items for the home, plus wearable items. Yarns used for knitting are all hand-dyed in micro batches in hand crafted natural dyes; some dyes even come from the garden such as the marigold and goldenrod dyes. Items crafted from wool are made of 100% Canadian produced wool that is milled in Alberta. Knit items often feature distinctive “stranded knitting” using several separate colors to produce creative patterns. In addition to knit items hand tied jewelery and eco printed items are also available on occasion.

Our handmade items are available for purchase by individuals, plus small wholesale batches are available to businesses who support the local, handmade, and “made in Canada” concepts. Personalized color options and styling is also available to customers using our items in the hospitality industry.

The Coffee Sweater

The Coffee Sweater is the perfect accessory for anyone who loves a hot drink when they are out and about. The Coffee Sweater, which is hand knit of 100% Canadian wool that is naturally dyed by hand, helps to keep your coffee hot and your hands comfy. I personally have one for “home” use and one in my car for those impromptu coffee stops (plus one in each spot for hubby too!). Each Coffee Sweater is unique as they are handmade, plus being naturally dyed and using local wool makes them a trendy little item that is kind to the earth.

The Coffee Mug Sweater

The Coffee Mug Sweater is the cousin to the Coffee Sweater. I knew the jealousy would start the minute a Coffee Sweater entered the kitchen and the mugs felt…well…under dressed. The Coffee Mug Sweater is a slightly different design, as it needs to make allowances for the mug’s handle. Thanks to the elastic nature of knitting, the Coffee Mug Sweater accommodates many different shapes of mugs of normal size. The Coffee Mug Sweater, which is hand knit of 100% Canadian wool that is naturally dyed by hand, helps to keep your coffee hot and your hands comfy. Each Coffee Mug Sweater is unique as they are handmade, plus being naturally dyed and using local wool makes them a trendy little item that is kind to the earth.

The Coffee Press Sweater

Once the Coffee Mug Sweater appeared on the scene we knew it was time to add some serious fashion to our morning coffee, and what better way to add some style to your java than with a Coffee Press Sweater. Now the coffee is hot and styling in both the coffee press and your mug. I personally like the mix and match possibilities and the way it makes you kitchen table so stylish.
