Beach Portraits

blog beach portrait_3365 cWinter doesn’t mean having to wait until spring for outdoor portraits, a warm dry day in February can make for lovely shooting. The opportunity to shoot on occasion on the west coast makes the experience even nicer. The location for this portrait was Bridges Road on Pender Island (BC, Canada).

Black and White Beach Portrait – Child Photography – Hunter Photographics, Red Deer, Alberta

child portrait on a beach

Portrait taken on location at Starvation Bay, Pender Island.

Beach portraits are a great way to capture carefree images of children.  Images like this, presented in black and white, are timeless. Informal posing makes for a natural portrait and lets the child’s personality show through, just the way a portrait should be.

Outdoor Portrait – Family of Four

In today’s post I am sharing a portrait order that I have just completed. This was an afternoon portrait in a local park. Afternoon is often a nice time to shoot younger families, as a shoot time after nap-time can provide for happy, rested children with smiles.

The parents wanted a relaxed session with images that were informal. They wanted to capture their kids “being kids”.
