Night Reflections – Reflection Lake, Golden, BC

Orcas – Galiano, BC, Canada
Sometimes nature provides you with amazing subject matter. A chance sighting of orcas off the coast made for a wonderful opportunity for photography. Two adults and one small whale played off the coast of Galiano (BC, Canada) for a few minutes before swimming off. It is always exciting to see a dorsal fin in the distance, but whales viewed up close are quite a treat.
The second picture just sums up the west coast. Rocky coastline, casual whale watchers, navigational marker, ferry in the distance and a whale. All the elements of the Gulf Islands in one image.
Over the coming months I am planning to add more and more nature photography to the website as I sift through the thousands upon thousands of nature photographs taken in the past year or two. I think you will find that this will make the website much more interesting, diverse and fun to read.
